Parker and Maia, his wife, an elementary school teacher in Buncombe County, live in Candler with Lucy, a black Lab, their infant Willa, and their one-year-old son, Austin.
In 2007, Parker took a job with Henderson County’s Planning Department working on a variety of planning, zoning and housing projects. While working full-time he went back to school to pursue his Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Western Carolina University.
