County Commission District Map

This is the fourth Buncombe County election in a row with completely different district maps. Below you will find the 2024 Buncombe County Commission district boundaries drawn [illegally outside of a Census year] by the General Assembly in October of 2023. Buncombe County is the only County among 100 NC counties who’s districts are tied to the districts and actions of the NC General Assembly. County Commission is finally taking action to disconnect ourselves from this situation by introducing a ballot measure in 2024. If approved by voters it would allow Buncombe County to create its own districts similar to how other counties conduct their elections accross the State. When more information about this ballot measure becomes available in the coming months it, along with a map, will be posted here.
